The  mike set in the centre is recorded onto a track and then digitally processed using the Lexicon MPX1 32 bit effects unit in the digital domain. 

This evens and enhances the overall sound.

The remaining mikes record the dry sound of the instrument in Stereo giving a stereo wide spread.

I have recorded the Acoustic Guitar with Pick ups direct line in and have found that miking up the Guitar as explained above, always produces the best results.
